Six first year economists traveled to Southampton on 24/11/16 to participate in the BASE competition run by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. The students had to solve a range of business problems. They were judged on both the employability skills demonstrated during the day but also on their presentation of their final solutions to an audience of 100+ people including the Chairman of the Institute's Southern Society.
