On Monday 5th February we were delighted to handover a cheque totalling £1,082.50 to Worthing Churches Homeless Project(WCHP). The cheque was presented to Amy Oboussier and Sophie Moore from WCHP by Sam Frost, Charities Officer of the Student Union.
The money raised will be used to help the charity in the running of their projects. WCHP has 8 residential projects, 5 move on houses, a day centre in Worthing, a breakfast club in Littlehampton and help around 1100 people in our community who are homeless or insecurely housed.
The funds were raised at our annual Sleep Out Event where students and staff experienced life as a rough sleeper by spending the night in the college grounds. Read more about the Sleep Out with this article written by our Marketing Intern Alessandra DAlessandro.
