Our Level 2 students enjoyed the annual Level 2 Progression Morning on Thursday 18 January. The purpose of the day was to inspire them to think about their progression options at the end of this academic year. A range of visiting speakers gave presentations to the students, including Mark Anderson from KickStart Careers who spoke about local employment opportunities and apprenticeships.
Each class had a visiting speaker working in a field related to their vocational area. For example, the Travel and Tourism students had a talk from Frankie Dixson who talked about her journey from Level 2 Travel and Tourism to a career with Stagecoach. At the end of the day, students completed progression forms indicating their planned progression routes. They will meet with their Senior Tutor in the coming weeks to get individual advice and finalise their next steps.
