And they're off! Good luck to our students and staff who are going on the experience of a lifetime to Costa Rica!

The trip will be a real test of resilience, teamwork and stamina for the nine students and two staff members who have volunteered to work in the tiny Central American Country of Costa Rica, which is leading the way in environmental practices and sustainability.
They will be starting off their trip by contributing to the education programme of a school for underprivileged children in the suburbs of San Jose, before heading off to the jungle to carry out restoration and conservation work in Barra Honda National Park. The students will learn from environmentalists, including the consequences of polluting the waterways with sewage or chemicals and will help to pass on this vital information to educate the locals. This experience will set them up for life, providing a wider world view and skills that can be built upon for the future.
All the students will be taking different skills and strengths with them on this life changing trip and the group have met regularly to strengthen the team spirit before travelling. Including braving the elements in the spring and participating in a team building camping trip to prepare for Costa Rica. Read more about the camping trip here.
