Lin Li, our Chinese A level teacher attended the World Chinese Education Conference in Beijing in December 2017. The World Chinese Education Conference is held once every 3 years.

Lin Li, was given an award for “Long term commitment to the field of Chinese education” for the best teaching results of public exams and Chinese language competitions in both The UK and Worldwide.
Lin Li said "I would like to thank Worthing College for giving me the opportunity to teach Chinese for the past 15 years. Worthing college introduced me to many lovely Chinese speaking students from China, Hong Kong and other Chinese speaking countries. Those students have gained very good results in exams and competitions with our A level Chinese results being in the top 10 in the UK"
The award is given by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of China, and is a highly respected Chinese National Award.
A Chinese language competition winning plate is displayed in the college trophy cabinet. This competition is supported by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of China.
